Coated Vicryl Absorbable Suture, Violet Braided, Size 7/0, 12" with TG140-8 Needle is designed for general soft tissue approximation and ligation. This suture is commonly used in ophthalmic procedures but is contraindicated for cardiovascular and neurological tissues. The coated braided structure enhances knot security and ease of tying, ensuring reliable closure in delicate surgical sites.

The violet coloration of the suture facilitates visibility during placement and removal, providing surgeons with precise control. The TG140-8 needle, a conventional cutting needle with a 1/4 circle shape, allows smooth passage through tissue, minimizing trauma and promoting efficient wound healing. 

Tensile strength retention remains at approximately 50% after three weeks, supporting adequate wound support during the critical healing period. Complete absorption of the suture material occurs within 56 to 76 days, eliminating the need for suture removal and reducing the risk of foreign body reactions.
